COVID-19. New clinic protocols & risk assessment
The clinic is open for face-to-face treatments, and we look forward to seeing you for your appointment. In line with government and professional guidelines we have put new infection control measures in place to ensure that we keep our patients and practitioners safe and well.
Please read our new clinic protocols carefully before your appointment.
When you arrive we’ll ask you to confirm that you’ve read them.
Before your appointment
Please consider carefully your need for a face-to-face appointment, weighing up the risks of close contact needed for manual treatment ( see notes below for infection control and PPE)
Please do not come to the clinic if you are feeling at all unwell, or if you’ve been in contact with anyone who has COVID-19 symptoms. Please cancel and reschedule your appointment for a future date.
What to expect when you arrive at the clinic
We’ve made some changes to ensure that we reduce the risk of infection transmission.
The clinic may appear a little bare - this is because we’ve removed as much as possible to make cleaning easier and to reduce the risk of cross infection
Your practitioner will be wearing PPE - mask, eye protection and disposable apron.
Before each patient the clinic waiting room & bathroom surfaces will be cleaned, including the entry bell and front door handle
Coming in for your appointment
Please wear a mask when you come to the clinic. If you do not have one we can supply a disposable mask for £1
For your own comfort you might like to bring a towel (to go on the treatment bench)
When you arrive, please wait outside until your appointment time before ringing the bell
Please wash your hands thoroughly in the bathroom before going into the treatment room.
Before your treatment begins you’ll be asked to confirm that you have read these notes, and understand that there is still some risk involved in close proximity treatment. You consent is required before treatment.
After your appointment
Please let us know if you develop COVID-19 symptoms during the 7 days following your visit to the clinic
